MEET OUR PASTORS
Rev. R. B. Moore
Pastor Roy Bryan (R.B.) Moore was born in Germany, where his parents were living while his dad served in the U.S. Army. R.B. calls Hattiesburg, Mississippi his hometown. It was while attending the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, that he met his wife, Millie. They married in 1981 and have two children. Bryan is married to Meg, and they live in Ruston, LA., with their two sons. Bethany lives in Van Buren, Arkansas, with her husband Kody Morris, and their son.
R.B. began serving as a Youth Director in 1980. He started serving in the Pastoral Ministry in 1983. He has served as a pastor in churches in both Mississippi and Louisiana. He graduated from Beeson Academy High School, the University of Southern Mississippi, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and he completed post-graduate work at Perkins School of Theology on the campus of Southern Methodist University. Since he went to both USM and SMU, he jokingly says he should get a tag for the front of his car which reads, USMU, just for fun.
Our pastor has several loves. He loves his Lord, his family (which includes his Golden Labrador, Sugar Bear), and the USA. He also loves golf, because it includes a variety of activities. He says, at least the way he plays golf, he spends time hunting, fishing, swimming, hiking on trails through the woods, and scuba diving, all in an effort to find his lost golf balls. Though he denies being a comic, he also loves looking at life from a humorous or ironic angle. Plus, he loves to read, listen to music, and, since he’s a people person, he loves serving as a pastor.
Lori Spangler joined our staff as the Associate Pastor in July of 2019, and is very humbled and excited to come and serve alongside the people of St. Paul's. Lori has been married to her husband Jason for 20 years and they have 4 children: Callie (18), Jay Cooper (15), Jude (13), and Jackson (11). Lori is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and will be an online student at Asbury Theological Seminary where she will pursue a Master's of Divinity Degree. Her previous experience includes being an Assistant Youth Leader for 6 years and the Lead Pastor for a dual appointment for the past 3 years. Lori's favorite part of being in ministry is sharing the love of Jesus and forming lasting relationships with others. In her spare time, she enjoys, exercising, running, gardening, reading a good book and spending time with her family.
