Our Beliefs

St. Paul's is a United Methodist Church congregation. We are a global denomination that believes in open hearts, open minds, and open doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

As United Methodist we affirm the beliefs expressed in the Apostles Creed. Including:

• The belief in one God, who is the Creator and sustainer of the universe.
• The belief in the Trinity, that there is one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• The belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is fully human and fully divine.

We believe the Holy Bible, Old and New Testaments, reveals the Word of God so far as it is necessary for our salvation. It is to be received through the Holy Spirit as the true rule and guide for faith and practice.

St. Paul's is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus and want as many people as possible to experience that same freedom. Our mission is Nurturing One Another in Christian Love Through All That We Do.

  • We live our mission by loving, learning, and living together. St. Paul’s has a long history of caring for our church family, our community, and the world around us.
  • We love others through our missions ministry. One of our passions is to feed those who are hungry. We partner with area ministries and prepare over 600 meals each month to feed Ouachita parish.
  • We lean into learning together through Sunday school for all ages at 10 am. We offer Bible studies throughout the week for men and women, and on Wednesday nights , we connect with one another through our family dinners at 5 pm and vespers service at 6 pm. Our children and youth are offered weekly opportunities to learn about Jesus through Club 56, Bible 101, and youth group.
  • We do life together through our connections groups that help us stay connected to God and each other.
